Day 1: LAOS, VIENTIANE – ARRIVAL (-/-/D)

  • Upon arrival, our tour guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to your selected hotel. The rest of the day is your time at leisure. A walk along the riverfront is a nice way to get acquainted with the city, and a great place to watch the sunset. Tonight, you will enjoy our welcome diner at a nice local restaurant.

Day 2: VIENTIANE (B/-/-)

  • Your day touring Vientiane include the visit to Ho Phrakeo, the former Royal Chapel where the Emerald Buddha (dating back from the time of the Lane Xang Kingdom) is enshrined, the Vat Sisaket, known as the Buddha Museum, where more than ten thousands Buddha statues in niches can be seen, the morning market, and the Patouxai.  Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon discover That Luang Stupa and then excursion by car to the Buddha Park of Xieng Khouane.

Day 3: VIENTIANE - LUANG PRABANG (B/-/-)

  • Take a short flight to Luang Prabang where time seems to stand still. Luang Prabang is a small city with all the charm of a French village mixed with the spice and mystique of South East Asia. The setting is stunning as it’s perched at the confluence of two rivers and ringed by emerald mountains. Walking is the best way to take in the historic sights. There is a plethora of ancient wats or temples and you will often pass by monks on the streets, some of whom may even want to practice their gentle English with you.

Day 4: LUANG PRABANG (B/-/-)

  • The mysterious Pak Ou caves are repositories for thousands of Buddha statues located on the bank of the Mekong River. A long-tailed boat cruise to visit the caves is also a fantastic way to soak in the sleepy pace of rural Laos, stopping en route to see local villages. Witness scenes of artisans making pottery, fishermen hand casting their nets and children waving excitedly while they are splashing about in the Mekong.

Day 5: LUANG PRABANG (B/-/-)

  • Luang Prabang is surrounded by small ethnic minority villages. It is well worth a visit to see how villagers preserve the traditional weaving craft. From early childhood, girls learn to grow and weave hemp, to dye cloth with indigo and to sew clothes for their family.

Day 6: DEPART FROM LUANG PRABANG (B/-/-)

  • As much as you wish you didn’t have to leave this paradise, you will eventually have to depart. If returning back home is too daunting, then extend your travels to southern part of Laos, absorbing unforgettable experience with a cruise on the Mekong River, or extend your travels to Hanoi, Vietnam.
