If you want to get in touch you’re gonna have to get away and get focused on what’s important. Tour the Cambodian countryside while you study the ancient Buddhist precepts. Explore the jungle ruins of Beng Mealea and Kulen National Park on a tour meant to educate, making time for Q+A sessions and meditation practice.
Day 1: Siem Reap to Beng Mealea
- Our guide will pick you up at your hotel at 7:00 a.m to make the trip from Siem Reap to Beng Mealea. Enjoy a Dharma Talk and an introduction to meditation techniques on the ride, with a Q+A. Your journey will take you through the picturesque Cambodian countryside, with stops for photo opportunities along the way. At Beng Mealea, your guide will tell you a bit about the history of the site, followed by an opportunity to explore the ruins and participate in a serene walking meditation. Take a break for lunch followed by another Dharma Talk and Q+A. Travel onwards to East Kulen Water Temple, where you will explore the temple and practice meditation in the beautiful jungle surroundings. Check in to guesthouse and enjoy dinner and evening meditation before bed.
Day 2: Kulen National Park
- Wake up early for breakfast and meditation before traveling to Kulen National Park entrance. After purchasing passes, we will drive to top of Kulen Mountain (Phnom Kulen) for a history talk and plenty of photo opportunities. Swim in the river and waterfalls, and enjoy a picnic lunch on the river. Take a walk to the temple on top of the mountain for a tour, followed by meditation and a Q+A session. End the day with the journey back to Siem Reap. On the way back, reflect on your experience in a final Dharma Talk, stop for some late afternoon photos of the countryside, and break for a light snack. Return to Siem Reap refreshed and re-centered.
